Fort Bragg is awesome! I loved living in Fayetteville. As far as army posts go, it's a really good area.

We live in crappy Georgia now unfortunately.

We just left Fort Bragg... it's not the greatest, but it's not the worst place to be either. VERY easy to get around on base... but I hated Fayetteville with a passion! Of course, the fact that it was 2 hours from my in-laws probably didn't make my liking it any easier..lol

I've never lived there but spent quite of time visiting there and there was always something to do. As far as living there I've heard some say they loved it some say they hate it. Guess it's all about personal preference.

Wanted to add that unless he's airborne he isn't going to get it.

My husband wasn't and isn't airborne and we got Bragg for 5 years.

We just left, and I loved it there. We lived the other way towards Sanford and LOVED it. I have a house there and eventually will be back. Post is easy to maneuver and learn. F'ville is blah but Sanford and Lillington are nice.

Yeah Sanford is GREAT. We lived near Grey's Creek which is a nice area near Fayetteville.

I live in Raleigh, so I am pretty close to Ft. Bragg. I have been on the base once or twice, its not bad. The area isn't so great at all, but its a very popular army area. My bf is stationed at SJAFB in Goldsboro, NC.

Yeah... DH wasn't airborne and we got it... although he got put in an airborne unit and if we hadn't PCSed they were going to switch him to a non-airborne unit there. Probably just depends on how bad they need people... plus they're big on trying to convert people to airborne..lol
