    Question Unaccompanied moves

    Advertisements
If hubs gets a billet that's is unaccompanied, will the military pay to move me to where I want to go, or would I just be stuck here until his tour is over?

    Thanks for any help.

When DH went to Korea he was told that they would pay to move me home if that's what we wanted, but we would be responsible for the cost of moving back or to his next duty station.

I think you are stuck. Though I don't disagree with the above poster as it is entirely possible, I wonder if it would matter how far the next duty station is. KWIM? Like for example, she currently lives in CA but is going to move 'home' to NV, but they move to Guam for his next tour. How would they deem those to be equal moves therefore not needing to pay for any of it. Again, I am not positive, but I have never heard of them doing this for anyone else.
    Needs work.

No they wont pay to move you, your pretty much on your own for that. My dh is in Japan on an unaccompanied tour. The only thing they did cause I wasnt going to stay in NC was pack our stuff and put it in storage till he comes home. As for me and my things, my dad came down to help me move back up here to CT.
