    How involved are you?

With your Dh's command? If you are involved what do you do?

I know this question comes off as a little strange but I'm trying to get a feel for what others have done or do.

DH's command doesn't do anything!! They have a Christmas party once a year and we go, but other then that, they NEVER have get together or anything like that. So we're not involved at all-no one really is

Eh sort of involved. I'm more involved when DH is gone. I go to functions and I try and help out the new wives to the command.

In this command, I'm not involved at all. About a year into our stay here, I got an email from the ombudsman. I asked about events, getting involved, volunteering, etc. but never heard back. After that, I was kind of like, 'whatever'.

At our last command, I was a phone tree sub, attended FRG meetings, and assisted the Ombudsman whenever I could with things for the newsletter, etc.

I hope to be more involved at our next place!

His last command didn't want family involvement (I'm serious, they specifically stated that) but luckily they now the command is all new. We just got to this boat and it's decomming so there isn't really anything to be involved with. I go to the BBQs and have done things for some of the guys since we've been here.

DH's command really has nothing to be involved in. We do the holiday parties and have BBQ's and stuff but that's it.

there is nothing to be involved at here, at his last command he was so unhappy there that we hardly did anything involving the command.

    I will miss you SOS...
Please be wary of what you post remember OPSEC is not just another acronym.

That's how his last command was also. We had two "family" events in a little over three years.
