with the navy i wanna say the first rank upgrade is 6-9 months maybe ( i don't remember maybe 3-9 months?? ) there is a waiting period between each rank increase. to put it in perspective for you, dh was an E-3 when we got married had been in two years and was eligible for E-4 the next test. (which was about 4 months from when we got married.) hope that helps

    I will miss you SOS...

it depends. like my dh is already an e-4 and he's been in less than 2 years but with his job he advances quick (easiest way to explain it). it depends on alot of factors.

It all depends on your DB's rate and what he was in rank when he joined. Like my husband, he joined as an EM. He made 2nd class(E-5) in 2 years, exactly.

It also depends on what rank he had coming in.. a friend of ours came in as an
E-3 because he recruited so many people. So he just had to do the normal waiting period for E-4 what rank is your guy now??

My DH is an e-5 and he has been in for a lil over 2 years. There are people who knows with the same job and in for longer that is a lower rank than he is. It really depends.
