Flying Crew Chiefs- Anyone's other half do this?

Dh could let me know that he may start doing FCC this fall/Spring as he gets trained all the way back up. What's it like, if you have an SO that does this? I'm trying to wrap my head around it and figure out what it sorta looks like, if that makes sense!

How do you deal with it?

    Thanks

Dh was a flight engineer until 7.5 years ago on C-130's. That's as close as I come...
I'm not Lynn, but we ARE MSOS Best Friends and MSOS Twins.

We have some at our base, they work heavies (which my DH does not). They mostly just fly with them to make sure the aircraft has a mechanic because sometimes they land where there's no qualified maintenance people who know that aircraft. There's quite a few articles through the AF that explains why they're so important and a little about what they do. That's my understanding from the couple crew chiefs I talked to at least.
