    68K - Medical Laboratory Specialist

    Advertisements
Anyone's SO a 68K? I'm trying to find some information about it. Maybe a "day in the life", what AIT was like... stuff like that. I don't know how available it is but I'm starting the research process for a few MOS's and wanted to have more of an idea by the time I go in to talk to my recruiter next.

I've read the description on the GoArmy site already but would like more info. Medical Laboratory Specialist (68K) | GoArmy.com

    Other MOS of interest:
    • 68Q Pharmacy Specialist
    • 68P Radiology Specialist
    • 68W Health Care Specialist
    • 35T Military Intelligence Systems Maintainer/Integrator
    • 35F Intelligence Analyst

My ST score is 115, and I've taken Chemistry and Algebra in high school, which I've read is a prerequisite for 68K.

I know nothing of a 68K other than it once took 4 blood draws when I was in the er on a Saturday because they kept letting it coagulate, I'm pretty sure they were watching a movie.

It seems like you are into the healthcare field. I'd run with that. If you are really interested in a 35 series you might have to hold off enlisting until a spot opens, you just have to be wait it out and be flexible. Whenever DH talks to someone about enlisting he really stresses that they pick what they want to do, not what slots are open the day they talk to their recruiter. Hope you get what you want!

Thank you. They're kind of listed in order of main interest, I guess. I am leaning more towards 68 but 35 would also give me options after the military. I definitely don't want to be stuck with something I don't really want.
