Airborne?
My DH just wrote me from BCT and I guess they offered for him to go Airborne? He's a 25B, not infantry, which I didn't know could be airborne
Anyway, I know that means they jump outta planes and whatnot, but does that change what units he'll always be assigned to? Before he could be stationed anywhere, because he's signal, so now would he only be able to go to airborne duty stations or something? Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I literally haven't the slightest clue how this all works.

You can be airborne without being infantry. He may or may not be assigned to an airborne unit. Most likely he will get an airborne unit but not always.
The school is 3 weeks and there is extra pay for being airborne as long as he is current in his jumps. |

I noticed alot of my friends went to Fort Bragg after they did airborne..the "broken" ones came to Fort Campbell.
I would have loved to have gone airborne. |

DB was assigned a duty station during AIT contingent upon completing airborne. Had he not passed he would have been reassigned.
