Is this his deployment...?
This question might seem like a stupid one but I don't know many people in the military so I don't know much about deployments.
My best friend is a Marine and just graduated SOI training. He was sent to a base in Japan for two years. Now my question is, is this counted as his deployment? And if he's infantry what would he do on a base? If these question sound stupid sorry I just don't know much. Oh and if this is in the wrong forum sorry didn't quite know where to put my question. |

No, thats where he is stationed so there for its not a deployment. And he will train during the day for his job.
