Ok. Here it is. A thread all our own. I would love if we could come here for our updates, questions, and just share our experience with people going through it at the same time.

First things first though; intros. Let's give an intro of our name, spouse/so, kids, what do you as for work, how long your spouse/so has been in, where you're stationed, different commands ya'll have been at, different jobs, what you like to do for fun, etc. Answer as many or as few you feel comfy with.

I'll start off the intros.

Name: Stephanie

Spouse: John

Been Married: 9 years in Sept.

Kids: 3; Breanna 8, Johnny 3, and Evan, 2

How Long In: 12 years

Places We've Been Stationed: FL. twice, IL. at RTC Great Lakes, and now NAS Oceana

Jobs: In fL. the first time he worked with a squadron and was on the flight deck. The 2nd time he was stationed to the USS Kennedy and worked in 2 different shops off the hanger bay. In IL. he was one of the RDCs, drill instructor. And now in Oceana he is back with his original squadron.

Myself Jobs: I don't work. Never have since we've been married. i go to school. I'm finishing up my BA in Psychology online. Then I'm on to my master's.

What Do I Like to do for Fun: I love music, watching HGTV, taking my kids places, mainly just spending my DH and kids. If that is hanging out the house or going on mini road trips...it doesn't matter.

Been Married: 6 years

Kids: 1 little girl Haylee and 1 on the way

How Long In: 15

Places We've Been Stationed: Pearl Harbor hawaii, California San Diego, Washington state, USS John Stennis, NRDLA Ventura County. (Recruiter)

Jobs:He is a Mass Communication Specialist, so he takes pictures, writes stories etc. Most back grounds you see of the military are from MC's and some are my husbands

Myself Jobs: Im a SAHM and incubator for my little one and a mommy of a soon to be kindergartener. 2 weiners and a pug. I am going to school as well.

What Do I Like to do for Fun:ANything with my family. We love going tothe movies late at night its a tradition.

Is your hubby's real/legal name Johnnie or is it a nick name? My hubby's real/legal name is Johnny. He is the 2nd. He shortened it when he got "older". Like out of the house when he first joined the Navy. And now we have our Johnny whose real/legal name is Johnny. He is the 3rd.

What are you going to school for? I'm finishing up my BA and then on to my master's so I can work in counseling or forensic psychology. Most likely counseling though. I would love to be a high school guidence counselor.

His real name is Johnnie he doesn't shorten it I think he kinda likes it and I of course feel like a country girl married to him lol. I'm going to school to complete a medical transcription course its fun and something I can do. For fun. Wanna know something wierd the day I started reproductive anatomy I found out I was pregnant. Too funny I put that in the baby book hahaha

LOL How funny/ironic is that? John's grandma does that, medical transcription. She does it for extra cash. She owned 2 businesses and then sold them almost 3 years ago. She fully retired for a bit but was so bored she started the medical transcription. She likes it. And she has picked up on a lot of medical lingo from it.

John is so funny. I'll mess with him by calling him Johnny. He'll just glare at me, shake his head, and say "You don't know me like that". LOL Meaning I didn't know him when he was growing up. I met him when he was 23....and already John. lol Those who did call him Johnny most of the time. I remember when I first started dating him. I was talking with his sister and I said John instead of Johnny. She gave me a puzzled look and asked "who". I was like "your brother". lol

Hi, my name is Mandy and I'm brand new here. Just ready to jump in because I have NO idea what my Dh and I are in for over the next 6 weeks.

Work: I work full-time outside of the home but hope to start pre-req's for Radiology soon

My spouse has been in the Navy since 1995. Our daughter was born the day he graduated boot camp.
We are currently stationed in Missouri (recruiting duty - NRD St. Louis).
Our other commands have included the USS Nimitz, Stratcom and the USS Carl Vinson.
We have three kids: Kelli, 13, Nick, 11, Allyson 8

We both love the outdoors and enjoying the beautiful countryside while we can.

Myself Jobs: I'm a cake decorator but right now all my time is for my beautiful newborn son.

What Do I Like to do for Fun: I love taking pictures, scrapbooking, doing crafts in general, watching my son smile, spending time with my family, helping people, just being everywhere.

Kids: Deegan 6.75 and Cameron 4

How Long In: Hit 11 years in June

Places We've Been Stationed: Camp Pendleton, CA Pensacola, FL San Diego, CA Kaneohe Bay, HI and now Great Lakes, IL

Jobs: At Camp Pendleton he was a line corpsman with 1/5. Pensacola-he worked in the lab at the naval hospital. San Diego-attending IDC (Independent Duty Corpsman) school. Kaneohe Bay-IDC for CLB3.

Myself Jobs: I'm currently looking! In Hawaii I worked at my kids school at a TA in a PreK class
