    A Question

    Advertisements
I was just in my dads office and he works with a man that is retired Navy. We were talking about DH reenlisting and such and he was saying how it would be great if we were stationed some where fun over seas and how he wouldn't deploy to a war zone anymore... This is me led... I was under the impression that one can be deployed to war zones and much as the military would like As long as they have that certain amount of down time in between which can not be very long. DH unit attaches itself and we are on deployment #2 to a war zone in less that a year time frame.

Either way doesn't both me, I am just wondering what the correct answer is.

Different units and Different time frames set aside, there is no max on how many times you can be sent to Iraq/Afghanistan, or there is?

I know guys in DH's unit who have done 10+ deployments. I also know there are plenty of people deployed from oconus posts.

A friends brother-in-law and his wife just moved to Germany and then he was deployed to Iraq. I guess it doesn't matter where you are.

Im pretty sure our friends stationed in Oki have been deployed from there and served in OIF/OEF.
Hawaii is overseas and they get sent a lot. Sometimes to the Philipines though, which isnt considered a war zone i dont think.

Going out of the state and being deployed is not my question though... My question is, is there a max amount of times that a service member can be deployed to Iraq/Afghanistan... Which I don't think that there is.
