Help the DF is confused and I'm confused .. help please! :(

    Advertisements
Okay, the DF is almost done with his active duty status so he's looking at the ARNG and we thought it was okay for him to do that and all..

    and then it happened...

Someone (I have no idea who..) told him he can't go to ARNG until 6 MONTHS after he gets out of the Army AD. He's been shuffled around to God knows how many people who have told him different things that he's confused and frustrated by it all..

    Someone please help!!

Can he contact the ARNG to do NG right after he is done with AD??

Does he really have to wait 6 months to go ARNG??!!

My advice to you and your DF is to contact the ANG now and ask them the questions. They are the only ones that are going to be able to give you the correct answers. Trust me, when you start asking everyone around no one is really going to know, or base their answers off of rumors. I know for the Air Force there is this program called "Palace Front" which is at the end of enlistment going straight from active to guard without time in between so maybe the Army has a program like that. Have him call the ANG unit that he is wanting to work in. Hope I helped a little

Ok. so DH just told me that as part of his acap(sp) or outprocessing he has to talk to a NG person anyways. He can go NG as soon as he is done with AD. There is no waiting period.
