Prior service at AIT
I have no idea where i should post this, but here's my question. DH is prior service(in the AF) and now he's getting ready to finish WTC (Warrior Transition Course aka basic for nonbeginners) and he will be headed to Ft. Jackson for AIT later this week. I am wondering what to expect freetime wise or visiting wise. I will be living an hour away and would really like to seem as much as possible. There's a link for guys that are retraining on ft. Jackson's website but it won't work. I would really appreciate your help!!

DH got out and came back into the Navy. I know it's a different branch, but he was treated the same as the rest. Had to go through all the phases and "earn" his freedom. It sucked big time!!! I hope it's different for you guys. From what I have seen, every school treats prior service differently.

Since he is prior service he will have his nights and weekends free and he just has to take a pass. They do not mix with other ait students. i am in the army myself.he is considered permanent party, so they do not want him to mix with newly enlisted members.

My hubby did the Blue to Green as well, I moved out to AZ with him for most of his AIT. Since he was prior service and an NCO he didn't have to get passes and stuff, he was pretty much free to do whatever he wanted in the evenings and on weekends.
