    Question Khaki Ball

    Advertisements
I know we still have time until the "announcements" are made on who made E-7, but I have been looking at sales etc for the Khaki ball. (I know putting the horse way before the cart), but isn't more of cocktail attire than formal?

I never went to any of the Army Balls. Getting a dress and buying the tickets were too expensive.

Very much cocktail attire.. I wore a cocktail dress last year and felt WAY overdressed. They will be wearing poly wool khakis (the short sleeved ones)... A simple black dress accessorized appropriately will work. I bought this dress in deep space blue, and bought black patent peeptoe wedges to go with it for this year's ball: http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/produc...scid=561179012 I plan on putting very pretty black jewelry with it..

Check out Ross too Heidi! You can find some great dresses there!!

Well, I'm what I am and I'm what I'm not
and I'm sure happy with what Iíve got
I live to love and laugh alot
    and thatís all I need

It does depend, but go for cocktail or one level below cocktail.

Simple "little black dress" is about what you want to look for regarding the khaki ball. The military members are in khaki's, which defenitely are not dressy but more the working uniform.

I wore a pants suit with a little dressy shirt and there were people there who were less dressed up than I was, but also a few people who were WAY overdressed and definitely looked WAY over dressed

I would say something very cocktail, a simple dress or a cute pants suit (dress pants with a nice shirt) is plenty formal for it.
