because my husband was medical boarded, they did the board and we were out in two months. It depends on how fast the paper work moves.
Are you scrappy enough for me

FOREVER!!!!!! No, sorry.... but my husband is being MedBoarded and he was told this in December, and well, he still hasn't even been placed on the MedBoard Barracks list yet. The last estimated time he was told was a year and a half and this was at his last appointment about 2 weeks ago. It seems to be a VERY SSSLLLLOOOOWWWW process!! And it seems to be very hard to get any deffinate answers from anyone!
Katie- Mommy to Kylee 10-30-05 (loving big sister, Ms. independent, intelligent, princess) and Auriana 09-17-08 (miracle baby with down syndrome, heart defects, hearing impairment, digestive problems, tube fed since birth, but determined to succeed, strong, loving, happy)

Ask me about Congenital Heart Defects... 1 in 100, it could be your child...

Ask me about Down Syndrome... more common than you think...

Wife to a Disabled Army Veteran... been there, done that, moving on

It seriously varies. I know people that it has taken months and I know people it had taken YEARS... My neighbor who is a douche bag.. her husband has been here for 2 years on medical hold waiting to get out.

A lot of things play in... what the issue is makes a huge difference. They have to resolve whatever the issue is.. to the best they can before they discharge you. So if you require several surgeries they cannot discharge you until those are done.

There is a new process that is shorter.. well it is supposed to be shorter, they told DB it would only take 90 days.. he is one of the first groups to go through the new program so far we are 60 days in and should find out.. but who knows it could end up taking longer!
