    Seaman to Admiral program....

    Advertisements
This was brought up to my dh today by someone in his command who has taught classes about going this way and suggested he should go into it, he also explained that this command would be a great place to go into because he would have an admirals signature on his age waiver and also on his reccomendation letter.

He now has an app't to talk to someone about this in more depth and I already have a few questions that I want him to ask in regards to pay, bah, duty stations and school together. Not sure if anyones SO's ahve ever gone through this program, but any other questions from a DW's stand point would be great!! Also any info on what I as the wife should expect while going through this program. TIA

Dh was going through it last year but was denied due toa bad PRT score that was foney!!

so dh says for your DH:
*read the web site throughly (https://www.sta-21.navy.mil)<---primary will have the best info & (https://www.npc.navy.mil) and become intemate with the regs.
*work hard core on your physical fitness and evals
*get as much college done as you can before hand. they look kindly towards that.
*expect to be denied a couple of times less than 10% get accepted.

all the good info is on the web addy i listed.

in a wifes stand point i realy didnt do much. it didnt affect me or our house hold. But he didnt get that far into it.

I hope this can help a bit. the web addy is the best way to go to get the info!

Bryan's in the program now! It's a terrific opportunity.

The pay situation sucks though. All we get is base pay, BAH and bas. We miss all the extra sub/sea pays, etc.

From a wife's standpoint, allow your husband ALL the time in the world to study. I have to suck it up to the reality that I'll be a "single" parent for the next 3 years while Bryan takes 12+ units each semester. I don't want Bryan's college jeopardized all because he "didn't get enough sleep the night before," etc...

It'll all pay off in the long-run when Bryan's lifelong goal is met by become a pilot.

Feel free to message myself or Bryan about the program.
