Its so hard knowing he is not here and this is only the first day. He left for Fort Jackson SC for basic. I started writing him a letter today but dont know his address or anything yet. Does this ever get easier? Me and him have been together for four years and with eachother every day almost. I love him so much and everyone around you tries to comfort you but it is not helping because they dont know what you are going through. I am nervous about everything. The fact of being away from eachother so long and then seeing him again. It just all seems so weird to me. Do they change alot when you see them? Is it a good feeling? Is it something to look forward too? Does the graduation take along time? Do they get to leave with you right after graduation? When do you usually hear from them and how long is it until the first time you hear from them? Can you send them pictures? I just have so many questions and feel really alone! Any answers....

I felt the same way u did when my dh left for bootcamp. We had been togother everyday since my freshman year of highschool and it was so hard when he left I did not know what to do with myself but u just need to find stuff to do to keep u busy and not think about it all the time It will get alittle easier for u if u keep ur self busy. Write him letters everyday or more. I really cant remember how long it took Jesse to call me but I know that the letter didnt start coming untill like 2 weeks in but it could be diffrent for u...im guessing u dont have an address yet so when u do get one then u can send all the letters that u have wrote him all at once and he will be so happy to get so many...I sent my dh pics but not to many...if u want to pm me and ask some more questions u can...im here for u and so are the other ladies...

it took us about 3 weeks to get a letter from my sister who went to fort jackson. My b/f left for the marines in may It does get easier some days are really hard but it just become a routine.Yes u can send them pictures and cards. Graduation doesnt take all that long they march into the field and do some stuff then u get to run into the field and greet them. i Dont know if they get to leave with you right afterwords cause my sister did her basics and AIT back to back. it does get easier, the first week or so sucks really bad i cried every day, but once u start gettin letters and phone calls time starts to go by pretty fast. i hope everythng goes ok PM me if u need anything
