No, that's not weird at all. I was like that when DH went to Iraq last year. I kinda would try to not miss him so much because it made me sad and I knew I wasn't going to see him for a few months. But then when I was only a couple weeks away from him coming home, I thought about him ALL THE TIME and missed him soooo much, so I think how you are feeling is perfectly normal

nah, you've been away from him for so long, you are getting excited. I remember when my Dh was in bootcamp, I was a nonstop chatterbox to my friends because I was going to come up here to see him. When does he graduate?

I am sure that when he first left it seemed somewhat surreal and difficult to imagine what it would be like. Plus it is often times easier NOT to think about how much you miss someone. But once time comes closer to see them again you start allowing yourself to feel those things again.
