Kissed my sailor "See ya Later" today - Military Boot Camp

Today my husband had his swear in ceremony for the Navy. I was kinda emotional last night and have done pretty good today. Cried for a few minutes a couple times today when songs came on the radio that reminded me of him. Not looking forward to sleeping in our bed alone tonight

Could use some words of advice/encouragement today.

Sorry he left today. I will be okay. The first few nights will be the hardest but you get a routine going and it will start to feel do-able (and it is). If you have any questions about boot camp PM me any time. I went through navy basic training a few years ago and I would be happy to answer any questions I can.

It will go by faster then you think.

My husband left this almost exact time last year. Feb 7th. I swear, I thought the world was ending lol. I felt so lost and confused. It felt like I had put a pet down, just empty and had no motivation for anything. But push yourself to do things and not sit at home. Push yourself like he's pushing himself. I wrote him his first letter like 2 minutes after his last phone call. I wrote a lotttt of letters lol. That poor boy. I dont know how he managed so many letters. But they'll make you feel better.

send pics of things he likes. His favorite food, family, pics of you guys, pets, yourself all of it. Print em out on just average white paper. They won't check yor letter. They'll think it's just letters. & start saving up some cash to go get dolled up before you leave for his graduation

Trust me, 2 weeks before its time for graduation you won't be able to sleep. Good lord, I was to excited lol. & day of graduation is freaking amazing. Best feeling in the world!!!! To get on that base and be around all these people with the same thing in comman as you, their sailor. You will get the biggest wave of pride to be on tht base. I did, just knowing you're his wife and that this is your new life makes you so proud

Save up some money for the NEX. You'll wanna go insane in there lol, sooo much Navy stuff lol. You'll love it

But nothing nude ! He will get in trouble! And just keep in mind that what you send could be seen by more then just his eyes!!
