Did your SO change after bootcamp? - Page 3 - Military Boot Camp

My DF had some minimal changes, mostly small things. During his schooling/training he kinda changed, but that's because he was stressed and such. He's more or less back to himself now and it's been well over a year. Good luck, I'm sure he's just going through somethings and will work it out!

well i didn't know dh before basic, but I know that I changed a lot when I went through it. In fact most of it was about being on my own more then joining the military.

once he's back and has more freedom he will be back to his OLD, GOOFY, NOOB, Self again

I was worried about that when Dh went to bootcamp, but he also went in at 22 years old instead of right out of highschool or 18, and I think that that really does have a lot to do with it. He was fine;however, I do a boy that went it at 18 and he changed.That is just my theory. Also they are extremely tired while they are there and that might have a lot to do with it.

i dont know everyone's situation.. but i was having some small issues with mine before he left.. and since he graduated bootcamp and went to Aschool its been hell!! I hope the best for you guys! he is probably tired and stuff... just be supportive!

I met DB way after bootcamp, but ex DH changed more than i had ever imagined after BCT.

at first, i was SO HAPPY TO SEE HIM, then all he wanted to talk about was bootcamp so i felt very left out and i cried the first night in the hotel when we went to see him, but he called and left the nicest voicemail, and finally when we were alone it was better then before he left! just give it time. also try to remember most guys get to leave where they went through hell at. and he had to stay. so he doesnt get much of an enviornment change. when he comes home im sure it will be better!!!
