DB doesn't leave for another 2 months, but I just can't shake this overwhelming feeling of anxiety. We've been together for 3 years, and spend nearly every day together. And I know it's childish and irrational, but somedays I just want to beg him not to go to bootcamp and end his enlistment. However, rationally I know that the U.S. Army is giving him opportunities he would have never been given in our small town, and that I benefit greatly from them. I know this is what's best for him, as well as our relationship, but I just can't help being selfish sometimes, and I know that is exactly how I am acting. Truly , I am grateful he took such a big step in his life, and is being braver than I could ever be. Did anyone else ever feel this way?

My DB left yesterday. And I'm not going to lie, it's hard. I've cried myself to sleep twice. I can't stop crying now, and ALL I wanna do is crawl into a hole until he comes home. But that's not something that I can do. And neither can you. I know that feeling of anxiety, and it probably won't just "pass", but as long as you know that he is doing what's right for him, you, and his country, it will be easier to deal with. Even just typing that out comforted me. Lol. Good Luck girl, and I'm here if you need to talk.

I know exactly the feeling your talking about. For me, the anxiety was worse before he left than after. Don't get me wrong, i miss the hell out of him, but now, it's like, "Oh, this has actually happened, and I'm SURVIVING! Cool!" Before he left I constantly felt like
but now I'm living day to day, and it's very different, and there are lots of things that i miss, but writing helps, and being on here helps. It won't be fun, but you'll be ok.

I totally know where you're coming from, girl. DF leaves beginning of January and I'm getting really upset thinking about how soon it is. We were talking about it when we were in bed last night and I started crying big time on the poor guy.
But, we'll get through it, I promise. As my DF put it; the sooner it starts, the sooner he'll come home.
