No call?

DH left for MEPS on Sunday, and arrived at Great Lakes on Monday around 2:30. His recruiter told us Sunday when we took him to leave that he would have a phone call in 2 or 3 days. It's Thursday, and no call. I know it would be day three today, but another girl I've been talking to said that her husband already called, and they left on the same day!

Some guys that went with DH didn't get to call. There wasn't enough time, a couple phones weren't working, and/or they didn't have a phone card.

Ha! I didnt get a phone call till weeks after DH had arrived and that was only cause it was Mother's Day. He only got to call on Holidays where guys in other platoons got to call every Sunday. Don't stress about it too much.

I called when I got to boot...but that was like 6 years ago. I believe everyone got to call and they had a time limit on those calls. However, some people were pulled aside for making a mistake. I don't know if they got to make calls or not.

could he have called his family? Dh only got a 5 second phone call to say he made it, we did not have a phone so he called his parents

He did get a nice call about 3 days before graduation

don't always believe what a recruiter says. they lie. but I hope you get a call soon, lots of

Recruiters lie all the time. I know DH's did. "If you have any questions while your husband is away, feel free to come ask me anytime" yeah right! I have tried contacting him three times and nothing...

Just wanted to throw some extra out there. Like everyone else said you expect that phone call to come in a day or two but they get backed up and busy and it just takes time. that you hear from him soon. Just make sure you're keeping your phone on you ESPECIALLY this weekend! Hang in there..that waiting is the worst part.

Thanks for the support. My phone literally hasn't left my side since he left on Sunday!
