Ft. Drum? - Military Boot Camp

Well, as some of you may have read in a previous post of mine, DH traded orders [NY for KY] but the guy decided to change his mind

. I'm not too mad about it, I've always wanted to live in NY, and it was where we wanted to go, until people started saying it was a "rapid deployment base"

and that he would get deployed very shortly after we arrived. I'm also kinda relieved to finally know where we are going

although I'm sure it could change from now until then.

On a brighter note, today is my b-day and DH got to call

so that was pretty awesome, and a big surprise. Also only 45 more days until I see DH again.

It has been too long.

So other than randomly updating, my question to you ladies is: Has anyone been to Ft.Drum? Could you tell me a little about it

I would really appreciate it. Thanks ladies, for being an awesome support system

There are a few of us at Drum. There's a pretty long thread in the Northeastern section about it. Lots of people are pcsing there in the next few months!

I don't think they deploy anymore than any other base.. it depends on his MOS and everything else.
