No Letter for a While???? - Military Boot Camp

Okay so my boyfriend left for bootcamp on aug 17th and graduates the 13th of Nov. he is in the marines. Has anyone experienced not getting letters for a long time at this stage?? i think he should be in phase 3 now. i haven't gotten one in a lil over a week now which is so unusual. His last letter said they were back from Pendleton and at mcrd again so mail would be normal. Should i be worried or am i just paranoid???

You're just paranoid. Maybe his group got into trouble and arent allowed to write letters now. I know when Seth's platoon got into trouble they had NO time to write cause the DI's kept them busy, they even held their mail. There could be numerous reason why you havent got a letter. Maybe he is just exhausted or extremely busy. If it was anything serious his family would be informed. Chill out and relax.

There could be so many reasons for it, none of which are personal to you. Just try to relax. It's not unusual to not hear from them for much longer than a week, so don't panic.

Yeah, I only got two letters the whole time he was there, so don't feel bad.

At the time I was completely crushed. I thought he didn't want to talk to me, but then I would get phone calls and I would think otherwise.

yea that makes sense. he called wednesday for a minute to arrange travel and didnt seem mad and said i love you after so maybe he just hasnt had time to write. his letters are always so sweet so i guess he wouldnt do anything odd outta the blue

When db was away this summer, the communication was erratic. For CDLT, he was texting several times a week, and calling at least once a week. But at LDAC (immediately after CDLT), they had to surrender all phones and letter-writing materials. I heard from him when his plane landed, and then not again until the day before he was to fly home, to make sure I could still pick him up, a month later. It's NEVER because of you,

DH barely ever had time to write letters in boot camp. I only got a few. They're probably just really busy and didn't get any time to write letters. I'm sure everything's fine. Just be patient.
