My bf is getting ready to go to basic @ Fort Jackson just wondered if anyone else had a DH or DB there or getting ready to head there?

I don't have anyone going to BCT, but my husband went there for BCT like 2 years ago. If it's still the same-ish, I can answer questions if you have 'em.

Did you ladies get a lot of phone calls and letters? how long was it after they left till you had their address so you could write them?

DH graduated in July 08' If you have any questions PM me! I am pretty sure I got his address either through the mail or he told me when he called. Because for the first week the are in reception and getting in processed and seen by all the Drs. getting shots and dental! Its pretty hectic! I think I got my first phone call a couple days after he left. It was like a 2 min phone call and all he could say was he made it and he loved me! Then after that he called every sunday for a max of like 10 mins. And the letters all depend on your SO. DH only wrote me like once a week, but he was always to busy to write or he would rather sleep. He wrote me when he had night guard duty. and it took his letters 3 days to get here (Texas) from Ft. Jackson. Like I said if you need anything PM me!

My husband is at Fort Jackson now. I have recieved many letters and 3 phone calls so far. He graduates Dec. 4th! My husband called me with his address the second day of basic, but for some it may take longer.
