Graduation Question - Military Boot Camp

This may be silly but are they able to spend the night away from base in between basic and tech school? (He's in the Air Force) I was really hoping that he would be able to and I'm getting the feeling he won't be.

Nope. They are allowed off base after the graduation ceremonies on Thursday and Friday, Saturday all day and sunday part of the day, but they have to be back on base by whatever time their TI's determine each night. Then EARLY Monday AM they travel to where they are going for tech school.

Same here. DH is Army and he was released to me after his graduation and I had to have him to AIT the next day...and then they gave him a weekend pass so I got to spend all weekend with him.

I had to get him there in like 3 days. They based it off distance. He went from Ft. Jackson, S.C. to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. Those 3 days werent near enough

I remember how hard it was for me to give him over!

I thought about kidnapping him...

Nope. He has to sleep in his dorm every night. He will also have a curfew. You can visit him in tech school and possibly stay with him then. I did one weekend.

That's what I thought, but I was hoping it wasn't true. But Christmas is just a couple of weeks after graduation and his recruiter told him that he will get leave then, so that shouldn't be too bad

Yeah, and for tech school he just has to request a hotel letter. And he may or may not have a curfew. It all depends on his MTL.
