Leaves for Boot Camp Oct 13th - Military Boot Camp

Hello!

My fiance leaves for boot camp in 2 days (Oct 13th) for USMC. Anybody have a loved one leaving for boot camp then?

I am going to miss him but I know you guys will give me strength & support.

DF just got back yesterday after going through BCT and AIT.
It seems like forever till the end but it really does fly by.

My hubby left Oct 1 for boot camp for the Air Force. It's been tough but keeping yourself surrounded by friends and family and keeping busy really helps time go quickly. I find the hardest time for me is going to be without him.

heey. its ok, time will go by fast.. i cant believe its almost been a year since my husband left for basic. just keep yourself busy, busy, busy!!!

My DB leaves shortly after yours....does yours get time off for Christmas? We were told we would get 2 weeks for him to come home for the holidays.

He doesn't get any time off.

My boyfriend has been in Bootcamp since Aug. 16, he is graduating in Nov. If you have any questions, you can PM Me. My advice, keep busy, and try not to think about the fact that he is gone, think about how amazing its going to be when you see him as a Marine. Thats what has been keeping me going. This website will help a lot. Good Luck to him, I hope he does well.

Im so sorry that he is leaving. But my best advice would be to keep yourself busy and write him lots of letters. It will be hard espically the first week, but it does get easier, well I guess not easier but you learn to live with it. My DF just graduated boot last friday so if you have any questions, feel free to PM me anytime! Time really does go by fast!
