36 hr pass??
Well i am wanting to fly down to Ft Benning for DH's 36 hour pass in Nov. Its just me going so where do i fly into and any other advice u can give me about hotels or anything would be very much appreciated..thanks in advance.

they have shuttles that go from ATL to columbus all day every day. Grab a ride on one of those. It's a total of $70 each way, but that's cheaper than getting a plane ticket in to columbus itself. They will drop you off at your hotel and pick you up from there when you need to go back
But definitely fly in to ATL

Looks like you have the car thing under control. With regards to hotels, see if you can get in on base since you guys are married. If they have room, the on base accomidations are actually nice, the rooms are recently renovated. The only downside is there is no elevator so you have to walk up stairs to get to your room. But it was only like $37 a night.
Otherwise, I know some other ladies stayed at a Laquinta about 20 mins away from base and it was really nice with a real comfy bed, flat screen tv's...but it was like $70/night. I highly suggest either staying on base, or going out about 20 mins, anything closer is kinda scary. |
