Airborne
Hey girls, DB is currently in Airborne hold, going to airborne next Tuesday. i was just wondering if anyone on here has had an SO that went through Airborne training at Ft. Benning.. I'm really wondering about what happens with graduation and if after the ceremony if they are free to leave, or if they have to stay for awhile. Any input about the airborne training will be appreciated! thanks!

I've been to Airborne graduation twice and they have both been allowed to come home with us either since they lived at home or had leave scheduled. It all depends on what is scheduled for them after Airborne school, if anything. I'm surprised he is going on a Tuesday, don't be surprised if he doesn't start that first week since inprocessing is always on a Friday. They have nights and weekends off but the training is exhausting. Feel free to pm me if you have any specific questions.

okay, thank you! he starts processing today, because they have a 4 day weekend this weekend. but DB did OSUT at ft. benning which is basic and AIT combined into a 14 week long training combined. after that he didnt get to come home, so i figured he would be given leave after airborne since he didnt get any after basic/ait. but i guess everything is probably different.

DB went straight from OSUT to Airborne and then received his 10 day leave after Airborne. As long as he has nothing else scheduled, it is highly likely he will get his leave after Airborne.
