ok...for my trip to Chicago, i already have my plane ticket, but i dont have a hotel room......but thats not the problem really...

my mom wants to go now with me, instead of me going with His parents.....so i was wondering if I could cash in my plane ticket for 2 bus tickets? i have no idea if that is possible....if it is saves alot of complications, bc then my mom and i can get a hotel room at a different hotel and it wont cost as much...

as of right now, i have no place to sleep the first 2 nights im in Chicago

Oh I have no idea. Good luck! When you buy airplane tickets most likley they wont refun the money unless you buy it with an insurance or something like that. Most likely they will give you a credit.

I think most plane tickets are non refundable.

Im pretty sure you can only get a refund if you buy refundable tickets. When I checked out refundable tickets they were way more expensive than nonrefundable ones. You can call the airline and find out if there is a seat still available on the flight. Have you checke dout the bus yet? My MIL was thinking of coming here by bus and it would havve been more expensive than flying and take 5-6days. For places to stay around here There is a best western, the Navy lodge if you know your BFs SS#. ramoda (sp) and a few more that I can't think of. Most of the places around here are about $70+ a night. Do you have a way to get around?

More than likely you will not be able to obtain a refund on the plane ticket.

While the bus may start out "cheaper" it generally won't be......with all the stops and meals that need to be purchased. Not to mention the amount of time.

I thought everything was set up for you to go with DB's parents. Not too long ago you mentioned your parents had no money to help you go. How is it that now your mom can go??

Update....

ok the reason my mother wants to go with me now is because of my DB's parents...im not gonna get into all of it but they just arent very nice/good people...some things happened tonight that they said that made my mom and i really upset to the point where i dont wanna go with them anymore...

so as of now...i have no place to sleep, when i get to Chicago until my DB is with us...i have no money to pay for a room bc i used all my money on a plane ticket

...so hopefully his parents change there minds and let me sleep in there room until DB is with us...

You do know that he wont be staying with you right? I'd hate for you get there and have that sprung on you. He has to get back to the barracks at a certian time each night.
