New here and excited! I have his address!!!!! - Military Boot Camp

Hello! I'm new here and still learning how everything works, but I'm excited about all the support that's here. My boyfriend just got to Great Lakes on Monday. He's in ship 10. I'm ecstatic because I just called to find out his mailing address and they gave it to me without any problems!!!!! Now I can send him the letters I've been writing the past few days. I just hope he gets them quickly since I've heard it can take forever.

I miss him so much already, Sometimes I'm overwhelmed with sadness, but he is constantly here with me in my heart. We plan on getting married in a year or so, but obviously won't be able to live together again until we're married. Does anyone know if he will be able to be home with me in the evenings and on the weekends once he is out of bootcamp and A school and on a base somewhere (if that's where he ends up)?

congrats on the address, i had to wait 3wks for mine, so you are lucky. You will get used to him being gone, sure you will miss him and sometimes when you think of him, you will be sad or cry, but know that he is doing this for both of you and to better your future together! Best advice i have is just stay busy!!!
