You CAN get his address before he sends you mail!!!

I just got my boy's address today too! I didn't have his recruiter's number, so I called the people at Great Lakes (he's at navy boot camp) and they told me his Ship and Division number so I can send out those 27 pages that I've already written him, heehee!

You just have to wait a week or so (until he gets placed in a permanent bunk) and then call them up with his name and possibily the last 4 digits of his social security number (though they didn't ask me for it, they might ask you).

The number is online (somewhere) but PM me if you need it!!!

I finally got my bf's boot camp address today!!im soo super excited.its a really wierd address tho.it doesnt have the state on it,is it supposed to??i just found that really strange....haha

im still waiting for my husbands address...he's been in reception for a week...he said he goes to a bunk for boot camp tomorrow...how long did it take you guys to get the address?

No matter what, you can't get an address until they have a permanent bunk...until that point, they HAVE no address. It's usually about two weeks

I got my boyfriend's address in a week, because I knew the day he would be transferred to his ship and div. He told his mom he'd know on monday so that's when I called. That's the navy, though, I dunno how the army works.

Haha, yeah, it is a weird address. But it is supposed to have a state; illinois, to be exact. Do you have his ship and div numbers? Because if you do, you can use this website:

http://www.nstc.navy.mil/rtcgl/family/contact.html

to find the address of that ship.
