Take lots of pics and videos. Keep him up to date on all the things that go one. Dh wasn't here for the birth of our first and didn't meet her till she was 4 1/2 months old. she did fine. I had pictures of him and talked about daddy a lot.

thats sooo funny...my son has your last name..lol...but yeah- maybe you could tape record him talking to her so she can hear his voice...show her pics of her daddy...& send him lots of pics...

Sadly being with a military man it is something you will have to get used to and these 6 months should be a great learning experience. It doesnt ever get normal but it does get better. Becuase it has to. Like someone else said take alot of pictures. Enjoy time with you son. Stay strong

i know exactly how you feel. our daughter was 6 days old when my husband left..she is now 10 months old and he will be coming home in a month... time goes by so fast.
