Hey Everyone! Just joined, because the time is coming for boyfriend to leave for Navy bootcamp on monday
![]() Thing is, I've already written him 2 letters, and have no where to send them to, because I dont know his address at Great Lakes! Does anyone know where I can find out his Ship # and Div # without him having to send me mail first? Is there someone I can call or e-mail who can tell me? thanks guys

No, you cannot get his address until after he enters bootcamp. Once he enters, he will send the info out as he receives it.

I had to wait until DB was at AIT (Army) and all settled in before he sent his addy, and it took a long time for my friend to send his when he went to Basic (Marine Corps). I wrote tons of letters and just sent them all once I got their addresses.
good luck sweetie and welcome to SOS.

He won't get his ship number of division number till he actually gets to bootcamp, usually takes a week or two, sometimes longer before you get their addy. the first week is pretty much a no contact week, they get to make one phone call to their parents to say they made it and that is literally 30 seconds long if they are lucky.

You really can't send his letters until you know his exact address. Just keep on writing, then you can send him a whole pile of letters when you finally get his address. I think I had 9 letters ready to send by the time I finally got his address.
Good luck to you! |
