Question Navy wives who are teachers.

    Advertisements
Someone said there was a program through the Navy or something you can join... or something.. I don't really remember.. If anyone has any info, ideas, suggestions, whatnot, plllllease tell me. It's freaking me out that I want to be a teacher, but I am going to be moving every few years.

Is anyone out there a teacher who is in my position?
    Thank you :-D

There is a program that will help the sailor transition to being a teacher if they want to go to college. I don't know about anything for the spouses.

They will help pay for your certification exams.

I am a teacher as well. This is our first move and it's proving to be pretty tough trying to find a job.

I haven't had any difficulty finding positions whenever we've moved.

Teaching and nursing are probably the very most portable careers a military spouse can have.

I know this is way late but I thought I'd say don't stress about finding a teaching position. My mom is a teacher and my dad was in for 20 years and she never had an issue with a job. When he retired she had a job before we even moved and he was still looking for a long time after
