    dependent flying discount

    Advertisements
Hey does anyone know if I can get a discount on flying as a military dependent but over 18? Just wondering cause if I want to visit my SO it would be cool if i still have my ID by then if i can discount without my sponsor(dad) with me. I found out I guess that i can get a hotel on base with out my sponsor but i wondered if discount flight apply or only to the veteran.

Usually a dependent can get a discount, but I have found in my experiences that it is not the cheapest option, unless flying last minute. Check out southwest.com, expedia.com, mobissimo.com or travelocity.com for better prices. Good luck!

I know your asking about flying, but I do know you can travel on Amtrak without your sponsor and get a discount. My daugther took the train with her grandmother (non-military) and was able get a military discount.

You can get a discount (try it everywhere, honestly). Probably best to phone, if you do that though, and look around as well 'cos there still might be cheaper options. (My dad's a veteran too.)

As long as you have a valid military dependant id then yes, but really it isnt much of a discount. My fav. site is www.bookingbuddy.com
