    NCPACE for SO's?

    Advertisements
Whos done this? A friend of mine said shes done it and told me I should do it to. She said John just has to sign me up. Both of us thought it was a program just for AD.

Ok I just went back through my emails and she says John will have to sign me up for Navy Knowledge Online (NKO) For me to beable to take these courses. Its nothing like myspace for the military or anything, its schooling. College courses.

DH is on one dedicated to the Navy. It is like Myspace, just for service members. He was invited to a Marine one, too..since he is a Corpsman, worked with both.

I hadn't either, until he got a request to join. It is specifically for service members and they have one for Navy and Marines. (I am sure the other branches, too, I just haven't seen them) It is all set up to where you can make you page and it lists all your medals, ranks, etc. You cna find people that were in units with you, or stationed with you at different locations. I was messing with DH's page and it is pretty interesting.

I thought it was just for AD too... for AD while they are underway or deployed to continue going to college.

It's not a program that pays for schooling. It's a list of schools and the programs they offer that will allow the AD member to attend courses while they are underway. Ryan is a taking a similar degree program through Old Dominion, where it's by CD-ROMS.
