Spouses can't use the G.I. Bill unless the hubby was KIA, disabled, etc.

I think that the Army is currently trying a program, but it has to be part of a reenlistment package. The Air Force tried it too, but it never panned out.

There are a lot of scholarships available though!

I'm pretty sure spouses can use the GI Bill in the Army as my husband has asked me multiple times if I wanted to, and also reenlistment was trying to butter me up by saying I could use it (it didn't work ).

If I use his, it wouldn't effect him too much- he's already done with college.

I think we can only use up to 50% though- don't quote me though, it's just kinda a guess.

Yeah the Army offers it, but it has to be part of a your reenlistment package and it's only available for certain rates (MOS's I think is what you guys call it?).

ETA: Each service determines whether or not they will allow it to transfer, and so far, the Army Pilot Program is the only one available.

DF had asked me if I wanted to use it. He said he checked into it and since he's not going to he wanted me to. I dont know much about it so I thought I'd ask.

Kristy, you would not be eligible to use it IF it was available for spouse use until you get married. Right now I know I am not eligible to use my DH's GI bill.
