On base here the pediatricians suck. Almost everyone switches to a Family Practice doc within 6 months. A lot of people don't even go to an OB here, just their FP.

Sorry I didn't mean to laugh the DR 's the Davis Monthan clinic sucks and I have a hard time getting my kids seen for things like ear infections. So my view is it varies from clininc to clinic BUT at Hanscom in MA I ALSO had a crappy DR for my oldest. I pulled us out and had us un US FAmily Health Plan LOVED it now we are in an area where all they offer is tricare so we are back to some crappy care. I am sure not all clinics are bad I just have had bad luck.

We were going to the Ped clinic at Balboa, and it sucked b/c we could never get an appt, especially for well checks. So we switched to a civi doc.

I had my kids at Balboa peds for a while and didn't like it. First to many kids in the waiting room who are sick and hacking on my well kids. Never had an appt with the same dr, they always seemed to be running behind, parking was terrible. I think I could go on and on. We switched to the Family Practice clinic at Mirimar about 8 years ago and love it. They have a pediatrician there (It was the same one up until this last year when he went to work elsewhere so we have a new one now) and my kids always see him. There are not usually a lot of people in the waiting room and they tend to run pretty close to schedule times.

I am not big on miltiary peds but I have to say, when I had my daughter I LOVED our Navy ped. His name is Dr Delgado. I do not know where he is stationed at now but if he is ever an option where you are stationed he is WONDERFUL!

In the peds clinic here it is okay. I am annoyed with the constant change in doctors, so I never know who I am going in to see. I sometimes wonder if I am even seeing a 'real' dr. But I haven't changed yet, so it isnt too bad. We dont in there very often.
