How do I change my PCM?

    Advertisements
So in the last two weeks I saw my assigned PCM for the first time. He's a competent doctor, but I don't like him and he doesn't listen to me at all when it comes to my care. Also, I don't like the fact that he is at internal medicine, it's difficult to get appts because I keep getting bumped for active duty sick call. I'd prefer to have a doctor at the family practice, but I have no idea how to go about changing my PCM.

Call tricare or go to a tricare service center.

where would a tricare service center be? We live overseas, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Thanks, I guess there is an office at the hospital here. I'll have to see if anyone is ever in the office and try and get it switched!

I changed my PCM too, it was quick and easy, and they didn't even ask me any questions (I had expected the third degree). I walked into the tricare office out here and did it in 5 minutes.

Thanks Becca, I hope they don't give me any problems...then as soon as it is officially changed I need to file a complaint against my current PCM.

We have an office that handles changing PCMs, complaints, etc. I had to fill out a piece of paper with my info and who I wanted to switch to (if I had a personal preference). The problem was the guy was never in!! Every time I went, he was either out of his office or on vacation. Finally when he was in, he asked me a few questions and I was out of there.

I hated my old PCM and come to find out, he's the chief of family practice. Oddly enough, that's friends PCM too and she hates him. :mad
