Student loan repayment for Air National Guard

    Advertisements
I have tried researching but can't seem to find a definitive answer. Husband is Air Guard and seems to think that he can transfer this benefit to pay my student loans but I don't think that he can. Can anyone shed some light?

As in transfer his GI bill to pay off student loans you already have? Unlikely. Pretty sure it's impossible.

To my knowledge, it can't be done. If you find a way... let me know! I'd love to pay off all or some of this student loan debt.

Thanks guys! I think he may be confused with the GI bill vs. student loan repayment. I know GI Bill can be transferred but not to pay off student loans. Eh.

GI bill can be transferred with certain stipulations. Loan repayment is opting out of receiving a GI Bill and has to be written into your contract upon enlistment.
