    Hello Mailing questions

    Advertisements
    Hey guys,
so DB is at tech school and is enjoying himself. I love face-timing with him now that he has his phone back. While he is busy, he always makes some time for me. Anyways, I have all his belongings including his laptop which he would like to have so he can skype and surf the web. It is very expensive to mail something like a laptop so I was just wondering, is their any way the military pays for his stuff to get to him? If not, I will probably just drive it down in a couple weeks (3 hour drive). Thanks y'all.

I don't think so. If you can, just drive it to him. Mailing a laptop is risky so your best best is delivering it yourself since you have that option.

If he can wait I would just drive it. The military isn't gonna pay for anything and my experience with the postal service with electronics is horrible.

Nope, lol. They won't pay for a move until he goes to his first duty station.

Drive it If there is a lithium battery in it that just makes it a mess with the post office.

Since it's basically a personal choice to have a laptop, the expense of getting it to himself is going to be personal. If he waits until he moves, then it would be covered (assuming it's located at his home).
