    Help with a dental emergency

    Advertisements
We are visiting family in Philadelphia and of course DH's filling pops out while he is chewing gum this morning and now he is experiencing pain. He normally sees the Navy dentist but we are no where near a base. Now we are calling providers in the area to see who can help us but the problem is that we don't know how to get this covered.

Can he get care from a civilian dentist and get it covered? What is his insurance called? Any advice on how to get emergency dental care would be greatly appreciated!

I think you can go to the local cvs/walgreens and get a temp plug type filling thing until you get back home.

Try this link for info: https://secure.addp-ucci.com/ddpddw/...-dentist.xhtml there is a link that will help you locate a dental provider. It also states that he must obtain an appointment control number, so it sounds like he must speak to someone before just going to a dentist.
