    Blush Loan payment Question

    Advertisements
Hi, I'm new here and I just feel like Google is useless.
I went into college after my husband joined and I got a student loan, but I feel like my house is too busy to continue. I want to drop out, but that means I need to start paying off the part of the student loan I used. We don't have the money for any more payments right now. So what I was wondering is if I can use his GI Bill to pay it off?

    Thank you for any info.

You can only receive the GI Bill only for current classes you are currently enrolled in. Depending on the type of student loan you have, you may qualify for a deferment of payment.

Edited to add that if your loan is a private loan you may not be able to do this.

You can also continue to defer your loan by taking one class at a time at a community college, most likely. That might be something to look into.

To defer federal loans, you must be at least a half-time student.
