Help Can a base pharmacy give me all of my prescription refills at once?

    Advertisements
I have to make an appointment to get my yearly exam and get a new birthcontrol prescription within the next month. I plan on going on an extended travel to a different country in early summer. Would a military base pharmacy be able to give me the 12 refills of my new birthcontrol prescription all at once? Thanks in advanced

You need to explain the situaiton to your physician before he/she writest he Rx - they may be able to write it for 2 6 mos. supplies, etc to accommodate your needs. The physician is where the amount/frequency/number of refills stems from - the pharmacy just fills the Rx as written.

I doubt for 12 months, but you should be able to get enough to get you through your trip.

that's what I was going to say

She's not going to be deployed though. I was told I could get it filled in any country as long as it was written correctly. I wasn't using the MTF at the time though so that could be the difference. Probably just depends on who you talk to, but worth trying.
