    National Guard Insurance for Soldier

    Advertisements
Was wanting to know what to do to get the Tricare set up for hubs. He right now has no insurance. He needs to get to a chiropractor.

Also I heard that Tricare soon won't have the military contract, so would hubs just have to switch who ever is the new insurance provider or would it be an "automatic" thing?

    Thanks for any help y'all!!!

EDIT Yes I KNOW it is an insurance we have to pay for, that is why I am asking. I want to know what he has to do. He needs insurance.

He's only eligable while on active orders. Unless he gets tricare select (I think that's what it's call) and the. It has to be paid for out of pocket, just like civ insurance.

There is a website that has a form on it that you have to fill out and fax in and jump through more hoops.
I will let you more in depth when my husband gets home. My husband just went through that

    Yes I know
That is what I was asking for, I already knew the active things, that is why I am asking because he is not active anymore.

The above is a great website, but if you are looking for it for a chiropractor, I would double check with them first because my understanding is they will not cover that kind of care.

OK! Thank you!! We will double check it and if they don't we will see what else can be done. He just has a pinching feeling in his lower back that is causing issues.

Another option is to try the physical therapy approach and see if that works!

    Here ya go:

ACA - Military Bases Offering Chiropractic

I go to a chiropractor for a neck injury now and they knew right off of the bat that Tricare doesn't cover it. I had to use my own insurance from work.

I don't know how it is where y'all are living, but in my home town we can go to the chiropractor for like 20-30 dollars a visit. So if select doesn't cover it maybe you can find a place that is decently priced.
