So I called the appt line bc I've had a pretty high fever for 3 days and a sore throat....they said they didn't have anything until Feb 8.....So now I have to go to urgent care bc I'm pretty sure it's strep throat and I have a baby shower to throw this weekend.....UGH!

That is the whole reason the I have Tricare standard. I tried a few time to make an appointment to see a naval doctor and everytime they would say a time that was like two weeks away. The last appointment that I tried to make with them for a sinus infection they told me that it would be a month. Forget that crap. I went up to tricare and changed over, and haven't had that problem since.

Tricare scheduling can be a pain. They have certain parameters the have to function in and they tell you nothing is available. They seem to be limited in what they can do but I too have contacted whatever clinic I am dealing with and tell them that Tricare isn't able to give me an appointment. I think every time I have gotten something scheduled through the clinic that would work. It's always worth a try anyway.

Cant you just call the clinic directly and tell them this is a sick call and not just a regular appt. thats stupid that they cant get you in today to see someone. I thought if someone was really sick like you definitely are that they normally see patients asap.
