    dependent ID cards

    Advertisements
My DH is sending me the information to go and get my ID made. Where exactly do I go? Does it have to be an actual Military Base/Fort or does recruiting offices etc do them? Im just wondering because the closest military site to me is 2.5 hrs away. So i'm trying to think of how to shorten the length of this trip. My DH is currently in Basic training, so i was going to try to get it done before his graduation. Haha sounds like a silly question, but i'm new to the military.

As far as I know, you have to go to an actual base.

...and you might need him to be with you.

I'm pretty sure you have to go to a base...It doesn't have to be an AFB, it can be any branch. You will need your birth certificate, marriage certificate and state ID (I think).

You have to go to the closest base. You can't get them at a recruiting office.

You have to go to a base- I went to an army base and we are Air Force. You can't get onto base without your DH or a power of attorney since you don't have an ID yet, so your best bet will be to get it when you DH graduates basic and you're on base then. There is a pass and ID office on all bases, and that is where you will need to go.

I would call your dh recruiter and ask where the closest location to get an ID card is... They should know that sort of info.

since he's at basic, she should have a paper that has already been signed by him, to be able to do it without him there
