    Tricare and switching regions

    Advertisements
If I switch to Prime (currently on Standard) and we move will I have a waiting period in a new region? I would be moving from Tricare South to TriWest if it makes a difference. Since the base we're going to has pretty much full medical I am thinking of switching to Prime (if I hate it I'll switch back to Standard) but wondering if I will have a lapse.

yes, if you miss the 18th cut off date, but I think AK is prime remote.

which is better than prime and alot like standard ( without the co-pays)

Thanks. Trying to figure out if I should just wait until we get to Alaska to switch to Prime since we'll be traveling and it seems like it would be easier.
