How long until COLA and TLA kick in?

    Advertisements
We arrived in Japan December 23rd, which was a Friday. Pretty much everything was closed until Tuesday the 27th when he checked into everything. (His command, housing, and PSD) As an update, he got an e-mail stating he needed to check into Housing, and they are giving us a house on January 5th. HHG are still stored in VA, but our Express will be delivered that day. IDK why they decided to, but we're going with the flow. Anyway, I know he gets COLA, and TLA, and just wondering how long after checking into PSD should he receive it?

Still waiting on backpay for expenses we incurred (reimbursements, per diem, and extra hotel time)

I know that the New Year Holiday might screw things up, just wondering an approx timeframe.

    TIA all, and Happy 2012!

    I would wait about 1 -3 months.

I wouldn't expect Cola until his Feb. Pay.

Cola takes forever. However for all the other stuff, just go see PSD.

Our COLA took about a month to kick in for us. Reimbursements, etc. was about 6 weeks.

It took about a month after we got here to get cola/reminburments/ect. I think our big paycheck was almost $17000. It was nice, but went to everything we had to pay off..

Took right at a month for COLA for us. Are you keeping your HHG in VA until you move to WA?

the OCOLA will take about a month to see in the check.

the TLA you will not see until he submits the paperwork for the hotel.

COLA took about a month, at most month and a half!

And HHG are suppose to take longer because of the heavy flow with the holidays. Well, that is what we were told!
