tricare standard
someone tell me how that works..im not set up with prime yet. can i only go to a military place...or can i go to a normal place?

With standard you can go to a civlian but be prepared to pay. You will have to meet a yearly deductible and pay copays and the like. And prime has priority over standard at MTF's usually. I would fill out the paperwork for Prime. It doesnt cost anything and you can get the forms on their site and fill em out and send em in.

we had a copay at the hospital. so would it be a copay or would i be paying everything if i went to a civillian? i have to go to the dr. for that 6 week check thing.

You can call tricare and ask for a list or you can call OB's in your area and explain you have tricare standard and need a post partum check and was wondering if they accepted that insurance

When we first got married, i missed the cut off for prime that month (day wise) and I was enrolled as a remote with standard until the 1st of the following month. I didnt use it cause it was cheaper to keep using the low income clinic that I was before we got married.
